Delete Your Account
Last updated: September 30, 2026
UpNext Brief is a product of Wisdom Digital Media, Inc. You can delete your account, and everything stored with it, at any time. Nobody needs to approve it and you do not need to contact us first.
In the App
- Open UpNext Brief and go to the Account tab.
- Choose Delete account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
By Email
If you do not have the app to hand, or cannot sign in, email support@upnextbrief.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you. We may ask one question to confirm the account is yours, and we will confirm by reply when it is done.
What Is Deleted
Deleting your account removes all of it, immediately and permanently:
- Your email address, display name and password.
- Everything you follow — authors, shows, films, games and performers.
- What you have marked read, watched or played.
- Your alert and digest preferences, saved locations and calendar feed.
- Your family links, and the way shared titles were tagged between you.
- Devices registered for notifications, so alerts stop reaching your phone.
What Is Kept, and for How Long
- Server logs — standard web logs (IP address, timestamps, pages requested) are kept for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting, then discarded.
- Backups — deleted data may persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those backups age out.
- Billing records — if you ever subscribed, the record of the transaction is kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Subscriptions themselves are billed by Apple or Google; cancel them in the App Store or Play Store, as deleting your account here does not cancel a subscription there.
Release data about books, shows, games and events is not personal to you and is unaffected. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
